      Motorcycle has 107,000 miles, fully equipped for Dual Sport Touring and in excellent mechanical condition.   Burns no oil, has always had Mobil 1 since break in, all maintenance when required and current with spline lube last winter.  Maintenance records come with photos of the periodic maintenance.   Lots of power, doesn't need any work but could use tune up like sync carbs.  In Alaska I road with another BMW GS that had 180,000 miles and no sign of wearing out.  Excellent road touring bike and for long distances on dirt roads.  High load capacity with lots of torque for long distances in comfort.  Bike had had only two owners who have both taken the bike to Alaska and are BMWMOA members.  Bike had been in two magazine articles, last was July 2013 article on Alaska Hazards, and currently being use for BMWMOA owners ads.  Motorcycle will include:  Corbin heated drivers solo seat, rear seat or flat conversion, PIAA headlights, driving lights, crash bars, tank bags, Remus Exhaust (cat converter removed), BMW panniers, Kolpin (2) gas tanks with mounts and Parabellum touring windshield.  Does not include straps and waterproof bags in photos.

The engine and frame serial numbers match.  There are a few minor scratches in the paint and the left muffler has a dent. This year, the bike got new battery, rear shocks, steering head bearings, and front fork seals.

    Beautiful and rather rare 1984 R-80-ST.  It runs very well.  Has been garaged and started frequently, and ridden in the last 6 months.  I was told it is a 1983 even though the paper work says 1984.  Speedometer reads 373 miles.  It is stock except for: It has been lowered for the needs of a doctor who owned it before we bought it back. The seat, shocks and tires have been modified to lower the entire bike making it a very nice motorcycle for a shorter rider or as a first bike. Nothing has been altered that cannot be taken back to stock.  The frame has not been altered at all.

    new tires, and brakes recently...shocks still strong...bought it 100 k miles and put about 8k of highway on it since...2000 bmw r1150 gs...love thing the thing and wish I could keep it but can't have two bikes :(, according to my wife.  Also has two Jesse panniers on the sides, crash bar, and a storage box on the back (serves as great backrest for your passenger. ABS is disengaged on purpose, and rear wheel bearing could need replaced in the future. Feel free to ask me for my mechanic's contact info to discuss his thoughts.

BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles

The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.

The future generation of the "1-liter" naked BMW S1000R was spotted during the development tests on the territory of the German racing "ring" Oschersleben.
