2010 BMW S1000RR currently set up for track days or club racing. Suspension is stock but has been revalved and set up for a 170 lb rider. Bike is very stable and handles well at speed, no issues at all. Motor is stock , only mods to bike are Bazzaz engine management system with tune, Sato rearsets and Arrow full system. I have most stock parts including signals and pssgr foot pegs so converting it back to street trim shouldn't be too difficult.. Bike is currently registered in CA as a non op track bike. Cosmetically it has been on the track has some scuffs and dings , body work is not perfect, but it is priced accordingly. I know very little about the bikes history. I bought it with 10000 miles on it from an AFM racer who used it as I have , as a street and occas track day bike. He claims to have never raced the bike or laid it down, but I cant guarantee this. I have never crashed on this bike and put another nearly 9k trouble free miles on it. I just did the very expensive 18000 mile service. The bike has no warranty expressed or implied, however if you find that I have misrepresented it in any way you can return it to me within 1 wk of purchase. I bought this bike with 11k on it back in 2010, most all of the miles are on road freeway miles, it runs great, no oil burn, fresh valve adjustment, BMW just did a service update free and replaced the fuel pump, it pulls very strong, Custom Paint (matte anthracite grey), new wheel bearings in front, freshly tuned and balanced wheel by Woodys wheel works in CO. Have rebuild-able Wilbur shocks both front and rear on it, pivot pegz, new tires, throttle lock cruise control and mechanically works great. For sale is my like new 2016 BMW R1200RS. This is the exciting new model that is both a continuation of the BMW RS tradition and a departure from the latest BMW touring bikes. One would expect a stripped down RT with all the touring amenities and the telelever front suspension, but instead BMW based the RS on the latest R1200R, so a standard fork is fitted to the front and lightness is the key: no motorized adjustable windshield, even the saddlebags are lighter than the touring bikes. It turns out that at my age, I need to be riding a couch, so I should have gotten an RT. For all the info you need on this new model, Revzilla has an excellent review. Fully loaded with all available options, the Touring Package, Keyless Ride, GPS prep and Gear Assist Pro. As options, the bike comes with OEM hard saddlebags and engine guards. BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
