Yamaha XS description

Folks this is a real nice example of an original condition 1974 Yamaha XS650.  I bought this bike from the second owner, who bought it from the original owners estate sale after his death.

The original owner put all the miles on it, then parked it in the late Seventies in his kitchen in Missouri (mistake in movie, said California--it was Missouri) . I was told that there were some fifty odd original bikes at that sale, all Yamahas and all in this kind of condition. All were in the house, in bedrooms, front room, you name it. The second owner was going to retstore it, then his wife got very ill and he had to liquidate things. He never rode the bike, kept it indoors, less than one year. I have had the bike for 3 years, and have only ridden it a few miles, also keeping it indoors in a controlled environment. All this shows.  You can find these bikes anywhere, but not in this condition.

I had been looking for some time for a really really nice original XS650 due to severe nostalgia reasons---in the Army during Vietnam days, I bought a new XS1B in Arizona and put some 50K miles on that bike before I sold it to buy one of the first Gold Wings. Missed the 650 for many years.

So, after this search, I luckily happened on this bike.  My intent was to completely restore it frame up---although in truth it really does not need it.  But life's plans change, and I have decided to sell it due to injuries, job and such.

The bike has had the carbs rebuilt, new points, new condensor, plugs, fresh oil, the valves and cam chain adjusted, new flashers, and a new battery.  Both mirrors are new.  Tires are new, but old. I have receipts for all this.

The only defects are a couple small spots on the tank, and a very small dent in the back fender; the seat is original and has a one inch tear.  The chrome is really quite nice all over, as is the paint.  The tank has been coated.  All the rubber bits are good.

I have clear title, it is ready to go.  If you are looking for a really nice original XS650, this is your bike. If you are here, you know these bikes---75 was a great year; had all the improvements, still looked nice with spoke wheels, was probably the top year.

Bike is located indoors in New Hampshire. I will cooperate with your shipper in any reasonable fashion, or come ride it home---its ready to go.

Buyer to pay a $500.00 paypal deposit on purchase, and balance by cash or equivalent withing 3 business days---NO EXCEPTIONS.  You buy this bike, you own it.

Please see the movie and numerous pictures.  Thanks for looking.
