Triumph Bonneville description
Up for auction is a 1976 750 Triumph. I'm selling it for a long time customer. He's moving from the country to the city and needs to downsize his collection. I'm the only one who has worked on this bike since around 1983. The owner is very particular and wants everything perfect. I bored the cylinders to .020 over about 2500 miles ago probably 4 or 5 years ago. The bike is beautiful, it's kept polished by the owner. It has an oil cooler, 32mm Del Lorto pumpers, new brake pads, a rack, new rear tire and Boyer Ignition. It also has original Dunstall Decibel silencers which can be swapped for the original exhaust system if wanted. It has rear sets and will come with the original pegs, linkage and pedals. The bike has a clean New Jersey title. This is a first kick starter and has always been maintained to the highest standard.

Single sided chain adjustment
Wed, 14 Apr 2010We don’t get the manuals with our long term bikes and I didn’t want swallow my pride and ask triumph how to adjust the chain on the Speed Triple. For the life of me I couldn’t figure it out. The single side swing arm with centrally mounted disk is a work of art but how the hell you are supposed to adjust the thing?
Twin-Engined Triumph Rocket Streamliner To Challenge Motorcycle Land-Speed Record At Bonneville
Thu, 29 Aug 2013The 1,000-horsepower Castrol Rocket is currently undergoing testing for its upcoming assault on the land speed record of 376.156 mph, set in 2010, by Rocky Robinson with the Ack Attack streamliner. The goal: a 400-mph-plus record-breaking run. The 25-foot long x 2-foot wide x 3-foot high streamliner was constructed in cooperation by Hot Rod Conspiracy and Carpenter Racing and will compete in the Division C (Streamlined) – Type V (5) Spark Ignition, Over 2,000cc to 3,000cc class. Powering the Rocket are two heavily modified Triumph Rocket III engines. Each Carpenter Racing built engine was reduced from 2,294cc to 1,485cc (2,970cc total) to meet the 3,000cc maximum total displacement class rule requirement. While piston size remains the same stock 4-inch bore, stroke was reduced from 3.75 inches to 2.4 inches and redline increased from 5,750 rpm to 9,000+ rpm. There’s also one Garrett GT2876R ball bearing, liquid-cooled turbocharger per engine.
