Honda Other description

1999 HONDA VT600 SHADOW VLX, Few entry-level customs could boast as many big-bike features as Honda's VLX did. Just like its larger stablemates, VLX is powered by a 52-degree V-twin engine. And like the big boys, VLX boasts three-valve cylinder heads for maximum power and twin spark plugs in each combustion chamber for maximum efficiency. VLX also had the lowest seat height of any of our cruisers for both a comfortable riding position and easy flat-footed stops. Then there's VLX's unique 'hardtail' rear suspension that emulates the 'rigid' look of custom choppers. But thanks to its hidden Monoshock design and seven position preload adjustment, there's 90mm of plush suspension travel. The Honda Shadow VLX. Light on the wallet. Heavy on the features. - HondaThis great VLX Shadow 600 is super-clean and it runs just as good as it looks. It has been equipped with a windshield, saddle bags, headlight visor, chrome radiator surround, backrest and a custom exhaust. Come and give it a demo ride before it gets gone.

2010 Honda V4 Teaser [video]

Tue, 25 Aug 2009

Based on the concept model unveiled last October at Intermot 2008, the new motorcycle is expected to be a sport-tourer powered by a 1200cc V-4 engine with variable cylinder technology which can allow it to run on only two cylinders to conserve fuel.  There are also rumors that the motorcycle will have a semi-auto gear box which will give the rider the option of going manual or automatic. Honda has a dedicated website for the V4 where you can enter for a chance to win a spot to be one of the first to test drive the new bike, unfortunately, the contest is only open to Europeans. Hit the jump to see the new promo video (you can hear what the motorcycle sounds like!) and an interview with design project leader, Teofilo Plaza.

2014 Honda CTX700 and CTX700N Revealed, the First in a New Series Focused on Comfort, Technology and Experience

Fri, 08 Feb 2013

Honda pulled the covers off a new streetbike series aimed at younger, shorter riders. The Honda CTX700 represents the first in a new series from Honda combining the three tenets of Comfort, Technology and Experience. It’s a platform “specifically engineered to make motorcycling more approachable, affordable and fun than ever before.” Our own Troy Siahaan is at the CTX700 models’ launch in Chicago and will have a full first-hand report next week, but for now here’s a quick look at Honda’s new streetbikes.

2014 Honda CB1100 Announced

Wed, 20 Nov 2013

The Honda CB1100 has only been available here in North America for a year, but for 2014, the retro-styled standard is already getting an update. That’s because the CB1100 has been around for a bit longer overseas, and for nearly everywhere but here, it’s ripe for a modest refresh. For 2014, Honda is replacing the previous version’s five-speed transmission with a six-speed gearbox.
