1979 Custom Built Motorcycles Chopper (1979)
1979 Custom Honda Chopper. I purchased this bike at the Mecum Auction last year and just don't have time to ride it and need space in my garage. Honestly I don't know much about the bike but it does run and drive good. I believe it is a 750cc engine and it has a kick start with a side arm shift (or you can use the foot pedal shifter) and rides nice. It starts right up and I've had it on the highway and all over town. It is definitely a unique bike with a cool look! I don't know that I'd take this bike across country but if you're looking for a fun weekend toy this is what you need. :) I bought this bike because it was inexpensive and had a cool look... now I'm selling it because I need space in my garage and I have to many toys. It's a Carolina customs frame with a Jerry's springer custom tribal front end, 120 inch Ultima El Bruto motor with 138 horsepower and a Slick shift 5 speed tranny with a BDL 31/2 inch top fuel open primary with a chain final drive. This bike was custom painted by Justine Barnes who was the original painter for OCC on all there original theme bikes from the American chopper TV show on the discovery channel.

I originally built this bike in 2005 as a show bike. Never put many miles on it - as show bikes tend to be, it was great to look at, but not great to ride. A couple years ago, I decided to rebuild the bike into something that would be great looking and a lot of fun to ride. It's been a complete transformation - just finished it up about a month ago (if you're a serious bidder and you'd like to see what it originally looked like, I can email pictures), and you're looking at the result. Everything on this bike is either new or completely rebuilt, with a killer new black and charcoal paint/powdercoat/anodized look throughout, and I have less than 100 miles on it since then - just enough to get the carb dialed in and make sure everything works like it should. New Ultima 113" engine with new S&S Super G carb Baker 6-speed transmission Modified Boyce open belt primary Pro Street Frameworks 5"up, 3"out, 45deg, dropped the tail in order to add a spring/shock under the new seat New one-off gas tank with black diamond plate inlays on the sides One-off oil tank with hidden oil filter Paughco 42" tapered springer, 3deg PM master cylinder and front brake, freshly rebuilt, new front rotor Exile rear sprocket brake, freshly rebuilt New one-off foot controls New one-off pipes New wheels There's much more, but a well-built bike is more than just a collection of parts. Take a look at the pictures, and see how the lines of the bike flow from the tank through the seat. Check out the detail work, like AN fittings and braided black line for the oil lines instead of just rubber line and hose clamps. The wiring and brake lines are all hidden, and the paint and molding work are fantastic. I have pictures of all the in-progress fabrication work, and would be happy to email them to any serious bidders - you will see that all the fabrication work is top-notch. I am a professional welder and fabricator, have worked in NASCAR, and have built several show-winning bikes along with the race cars and street rods that I work on every day - this is not a "back yard" build.

The OCC Band, which is composed of Orange County Choppers co-workers, will be featured in this classic rock compilation CD that was curated by Paul Teutul Sr. One of the songs listed on the track list, “Summertime Blues”, will feature Paul Sr. on vocals. The CD will also feature Judas Priest, Ted Nugent, Blue Oyster Cult and many more… New episodes of American Chopper will start on Thursday, October 22nd at 9PM on TLC, but it will be in the second show of the season on October 29th that will focus on the making of the album and the building of the custom bike that appears on the CD cover. Paul Teutul Sr. from OCC, once again finds himself in the spotlight, this time it’s for building the worlds first totally green custom motorcycle that was commissioned by Siemens. Some features of the bike include: a clutch-less transmission, 27-horsepower engine and a top speed of 100 mph. You can plug the bike into a standard 110-volt plug, takes 5 hours to fully charge and has a 60 mile range on a full charge. The Siemens Smart Chopper will go on tour this year to help promote green technology and will be auctioned off for charity at some point next year.

The video you're watching isn't the electric chopper built by Orange County Choppers, but Paul Teutal Sr. has been showing off the Siemens Smart Chopper that he did build, a chopper built for Siemens to display their technical prowess. According to Teutal Sr., the Smart Chopper has a range of around 60 miles and can do up to 100mph.

I can’t count how many sunny Saturdays in my adult life I have spent lamenting the fact that yard work took precedent over being able to spend the entire day out riding my motorcycle. Well, instead of wasting time dreaming, a farmer and motorcycle enthusiast managed to find a way to fix this problem by converting an old worn out ride on lawnmower into a chopper that actually, chops. Powered by a 17.5 HP Briggs and Stratton motor, the bike was constructed with the help of an old bed frame, an aluminum running board and parts from two old bikes. Now instead of choosing between going riding or doing yard work, this ingenious inventor can do both!
