BMW Other description

1998 BMW R1200C, We are always glad to see R1200C's. This one is in Night Black with White pinstripe and has ABS, BMW leather side cases, BMW leather rider and passenger seats, tall windshield with additional wind guards and GG Technik passenger backrest. Very low miles with only 22,779 on the clock. Early R1200C models had a few chrome issues and this one has the same the usual pitting chrome on the wheels and flaking chrome on the side covers. Both of course do not take away from the enjoyment of riding these bikes. Our safety inspection has been done and we have replaced the front and rear tires and front and rear brake pads. We also completed a 24,000 mile service, installed a new battery and flushed the brake and clutch lines. Our inspection revealed the fuel tank lining was not holding up well and we cleaned and had it re-lined. If you're looking for a solid R1200C with low miles and current with its scheduled service this is a good one. Call to reserve this bike. John (x125) or Brian (x112) at 603.964.2877 or visit our NH location with questions or to purchase this machine.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.

Motorcycle.com Weekly Community Round-up!

Mon, 15 Dec 2008

Here are a few things going on around the Motorcycle.com Forum Network: Animated Engines plivez, a new member of the Ducati.ms forums (welcome Plivez!) has a website where he animates motorcycle engines in flash. It’s pretty interesting to see the way a Evo and Twin Cam V twin Harley Davidson engine works. He also has up the crazy BMW flat twin R100 motorcycle engine which seems more complicated then an engine should be!

BMW announced it will make anti-lock brakes standard equipment across its entire lineup starting with the 2013 model year. The German manufacturer became the first to introduce ABS into serial production motorcycles in 1988 and now 25 years later, BMW will be the first to offer ABS across all of its models. BMW has already announced two 2013 models that will come with ABS, the updated F800GS and the F700GS.
