Yamaha YZF-R description

2008 Yamaha R6 YZF-R (Wrecked)

**NO RESERVE**

Up for auction is a 2008 Yamaha R6 YZF-R (Wrecked). This motorcycle has been in a wreck and does show damage. It was purchased from an auction so I don't have much information on the bike. It was wrecked from a front end impact. The odometer on the title shows 5 miles (THIS IS NOT THE ACTUAL MILAGE). This is the last known mileage since there is no odometer from the wreck. I know that the bike was driving less than 2 years since it was in storage for quit sometime so it shouldn't have many miles. Although the bike is wrecked I have a clear title, it is not a salvaged or rebuilt title however I'm not sure if after it is fixed you need a new title or not because I'm not sure of how that works. The front rim is cracked but the back rim and tire look to be in great condition. I opened the seat and it has a battery and to my knowledge everything looks good. I believe there is some upgraded parts on it but am not positive. The bike has skid marks on the right side. The handle bars are there but one is not attached. The gas cap is not there or the key since the key was broke off in it. The motor looks to be good. It is a wrecked bike and does have damage but I have tried to described it the best possible (please be sure to look at pictures). With some work it looks like it would be a really nice bike. I don't mind if you would like to look at it or bring someone like a mechanic to check it out. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me. SOLD AS-IS.

Also wanted to mention that the darkness under the bike is from water (I was watering the garden slightly before taking pictures). Just for peace of mind I wanted to let everyone know that this is nothing from the bike. Thanks & Good Luck!

NO IT'S NOT an illusion: you're looking at the 1981 Yamaha OW53, ridden by double World Champion Barry Sheene in the first three rounds of the '81 500GP championship. The bike's owner, aircraft engineering entrepreneur Chris Wilson, has lent the £100,000 GP machine to Visordown for our stand at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show - 27th November to 6th December 2009. Sheene raced the bike in the 1981 championship, where he finished fourth at Salzburgring, sixth at Hockenheim and third at Monza.

Hero MotoCorp Reports Sales of 541,615 Motorcycles and Scooters in December 2012

Fri, 04 Jan 2013

Whenever we publish stories about the motorcycle industry in India, we still get comments from readers surprised at how big a role that nation’s market plays, and perhaps more poignantly, how small it makes the U.S. market look. The latest sales numbers from Hero MotoCorp, India’s market leader, should further highlight the importance of India’s motorcycle market.
