Yamaha XS description

Yamaha XS650B 1975 For Sale, No Reserve! A true motorcycling classic with probably one of the best parallel twins ever made.  This is a beautiful, low-mileage, great running, garage kept 1975 Yamaha XS650.
Bike cranks and runs great.  Has electric starter that works, though I rarely used it as it kick starts easily.  Replaced the carb in 2015 so it is basically brand new.  All electronics work fine.
The seat is original and in great condition; there are no rips or tears. Obviously given its age there are some very light scratches here and there but extremely few given the age, and bottom line is that everything works as it should, it's quick and handles great.

A $300 deposit via PayPal will be required within 1 day of auction close.  Balance of payment via Cash, Check or Certified Bank Check is required within 4 days. The title or motorcycle will not be released to shipper or buyer until all monies are received and clear. Shipping is totally up to buyer but will meet shipper at my home to transfer bike. Sale is Final.
Again; the winning bidder takes full responsibility for pickup and/or shipping at his/her cost.
This motorcycle is being sold "as-is/where-is" with no warranty expressed, written or implied.

PLEASE NOTE: IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO ABIDE BY THESE TERMS, DO NOT BID.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.

Rumor Mill: Yamaha To Make R400 and R650

Thu, 25 Jul 2013

Yamaha is set to put into production two new sporty bikes — the R400 and R650 —  according to “Young Machine” a Japanese motorcycle magazine. If true, this would fill a huge void in the manufacturer’s beginner sportbike bike lineup. It would make sense, considering the success of Suzuki’s SV650 (which later morphed into the Gladius and is now the SFV650), Kawasaki’s Ninja 650 (ER-6 in other markets), and even Honda’s CBR500R.

And it's goodbye from him

Tue, 17 Aug 2010

THIS IS Valentino Rossi's farewell letter to his Fiat Yamaha team following the announcement the flambouyant Italian is to head to Ducati MotoGP in 2011.The hand-written letter, mistakes and all, is written in almost a 'my first romance' kinda way. It's touching, if a little bizarre. Some of the letter reads:“Unfortunately even the most beautiful love stories finish, but they leave a lot of wonderful memories, like when my M1 and I kissed for the first time on the grass at Welkom, when she looked straight in my eyes and told me ‘I love you!'"Somehow, we can't see Casey Stoner gushing quite as freely when he leaves Ducati for Repsol Honda.
