Up for auction is a nice Yamaha Seca 550 1981. XJ550RH
FOR SALE IN CANADA ONLY. International buyer contact me prior bidding. You'll be responsible for Import/Export process and to get all the paperwork to clear the Customs which i don't have. I'm selling it due to sickness. I just started it and it runs fine. It might just need a little carburetor adjustment but i think it's ready to ride as i rode it for about 500Km last summer and it ran ok. I own this bike since 2002. This bike is in great condition if i consider it's age. The rear tire is brand new and the front one is half good. The exhaust system is the original one. I'm a motorcycle mechanic so this bike has been well maintained. The odometer has 92668 Km and it's mainly highway use. I have a second bike for parts if your interested in. It isn't in the same great condition but there is a lot of good spare parts on it. Recall for 2009-2011 Yamaha V-Max
Fri, 30 Sep 2011Yamaha is issuing a recall campaign on certain 2009-2011 V-Max power cruisers due to a potential risk of oil pump malfunction. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, abnormally high oil pressure can build up within the oil pump of certain Yamaha V-Max models. The high pressure may force the washer on the oil pump shaft against the oil pump housing, causing oil to stop pumping through the engine.
AMA Pro Racing Announces Tommy Aquino Spirit Award

In order to preserve and honor the spirit and positive attitude of the late Tommy Aquino, AMA Pro Racing announced today that a “Tommy Aquino Spirit Award” will be granted to an AMA Pro Road Racing rider who best embodies the spirit of the paddock during the 2014 season. The paddock will vote for the rider who exemplifies qualities mirroring those of Tommy including passion for the sport, fan engagement and team interaction. The award will be presented on behalf of Cortech and Shoei at the conclusion of the 2014 AMA Pro Road Racing season. “Over the past eight years we have had the pleasure of working with Tommy Aquino, but he was much more than just another Shoei athlete,” said Hiro Mizushima, President of Shoei Safety Helmet Corp.
2012 Yamaha YZ250F Announced

The 2012 Yamaha YZ250F gets several engine refinements including a new 39mm carburetor, compared to the 2011 version’s 37mm carb. The piston and piston pin are said to be lighter, while the connecting rod and counterbalancer are also new.
