The racing was exciting, going off without a hitch, and the weather was unseasonably kind, but the meeting will be remembered by those in the fairly close knit WSB paddock for reasons other than the temperature or the race results. The 2012 Yamaha YZ250F gets several engine refinements including a new 39mm carburetor, compared to the 2011 version’s 37mm carb. The piston and piston pin are said to be lighter, while the connecting rod and counterbalancer are also new.
