Triumph Tiger description
This is a numbers matching, fully restored, 1968 TR6R.For the restoration the motorcycle was torn completely apart. The motor was completely rebuilt; any bearings, chains, seals and other parts that needed to be replaced were, as well as all new gaskets and seals. All of the parts on the bike that are black were powered coated, and the tank and fenders are the proper blue and silver colors. All of the fasteners and certain brackets were replated. All of the chrome pieces on the motorcycle were ether re-chromed or replaced with UK parts. I have more photos available if you want to see something in particular. Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions
Mon, 21 Jan 2013Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.
Recall for 2010 Triumph Thunderbird
Mon, 16 May 2011Triumph Motorcycles is starting a recall campaign on certain 2010 Thunderbird cruisers due to a problem with the front fender fasteners. On certain 2010 Triumph Thunderbirds, including some ABS-equipped units, the four screws on the front fender mounts may come loose. According to documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the plating used on the fender mounting included friction modifiers which are not compatible with the thread lock compound used on the screws.
