Triumph Sprint description

Up for sale is my Triumph Sprint ST. Purchased new in early 2002. Bike has Race Tech fork springs and Race Tech Gold Valve kit in front suspension. Wilbers Shock and spring on rear. Rubber is good. New throttle cable. She has been a great bike, but don't ride it enough to keep her around. Two issues with the bike. Issue 1. Small crack on right side fairing - parking lot tip over. See photo. (Crack is approx. 1 1/2 "). Issue 2. Fuel tank has just been replaced due to the original tank swelling up and would no longer fit between the frame rails due to ethanol in the gas (Thank You EPA) This tank fits and has been sealed with an epoxy tank sealant. Triumph, Ducati and Aprilia used this plastic on some tanks and have this problem as well as some dirt bike tanks. Tank is black and not British Racing Green. Not you know the bad things. The good thing is she starts easily, runs like a new one and handles great. And gets 50+ mpg. With the panniers and top box, you can take it with you.

Unchained: 2013 Triumph Rocket III Free of Power Restrictions

Mon, 21 Jan 2013

Triumph has updated its Rocket III cruiser for 2013, adding more blacked-out components and a new seat, but perhaps the most significant change is what Triumph took away: the electronic torque limiter. Previous versions of the Triumph Rocket III and the Rocket III Touring variant had its power and torque neutered in the first three gears. The reins are off for 2013 however, with the Rocket III’s 2294cc engine delivering full power in all gears.

Spanish magazine Motociclismo has acquired photos of what it says will be a new 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 sport-tourer. According to Motociclismo, the 2013 Triumph Trophy 1200 uses many of the same components as the recently launched Triumph Tiger Explorer, including its 1215cc inline Triple engine and shaft drive. The Trophy 1200 will likely also get traction control and ABS like the Tiger Explorer, as well as touring-oriented niceties such as an adjustable windscreen, heated grips, panniers and cruise control.
