Beautiful 2010 Triumph Bonneville T-100 Black Special Edition. Only 4,300 miles; it runs and rides awesome. This bike is like new! This is the Special Edition T-100 that came out in late 2010. Fuel injection, DOHC 8-valve parallel twin motor, 865cc. Lots of smooth power right through the entire rpm range, yet gets nearly 50 mpg on highway. It looks like the Bonneville classics of the 60s and 70s but it is completely updated for the 21st century--suspension, brakes, motor, transmission, electrical, pretty much everything has been improved. Has several extras: factory center stand, two-step ribbed gel seat, chrome grab rail, quick release seat bolts, pig tail for battery charger/tender, custom oil filler cap. NADA book value $5,833. Selling in order to purchase a touring bike and would consider trades, plus I would add cash if necessary. This is a no reserve auction! Triumph Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE Recalled for Throttle Position Sensor Error
Wed, 29 Jan 2014Triumph is recalling a combined total of 2,800 units of the Tiger Explorer and Trophy SE due to a problem with the electronic control unit detecting the throttle position. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the ECU’s detection threshold is set too tightly and it lacked proper signal filtering, causing it to prematurely detecting a deviation in the throttle butterfly position. The ECU would then activate the ride-by-wire system’s safety shutdown, closing the throttle butterly valve and cutting the fuel and ignition.
