Suzuki GSX-R description

Hello, up here for auction is a stunning example of a 2001 Suzuki GSX-R 1000. This bike is in great condition with many upgrades and extras included with the sale, and I couldn't find a more fitting sport bike if you are looking at the liter-bike class, this was the most revolutionary hyper-performance cycle the day it was released, and blew everything else out of the water (including the mighty R1 at that time). It is so good in fact that the base powerplant/engine has changed very little all the way to the brand new 2013 GSXR, and this 2001 model puts down the power to run right next to the new models and even has the dyno sheet to prove it! This bike has been in my possession for a long time, clear title, garage stored and covered, and I am an avid motorcycle enthusiast as well as technician, so this bike has had all the care you would expect like a newborn child since the day I owned it. I am the second owner and it currently has 39,46x miles which for these bikes is very little, especially for these motors, as the compression was tested when the valves were checked at 35,000 and was still above 200psi across the board. Not once has it needed any valves adjusted each time the valve clearance was checked. This motor is rocksolid, and the bike is completely set up and rides amazing.

Modifications include: Ti-Force full system titanium exhaust, Shorty can, Power Commander III USB, 07'-08' Hydraulic clutch conversion, ASV lever, anodized GSXR master cylinder caps, Factory Suzuki leather tank cover with emblazoned GSXR logo, Dunlop Q2 tires, Vortex 44T(+2) rear sprocket, SpeedoHealer electronic Speedometer calibration unit, Upgraded 04' GSXR Shock, Suspension sag set dead on for 165lbs, Extra rear spring for heavier rider, K&N Air Filter, EBC HH pads front and rear, Galfer Stainless Steel brake lines (black), and to top it all off all recent adjustments and maintenance has been performed, as this bike is always up to spec on being maintained. Has Hotbodies undertail with 5 angle LED license plate light and integrated turn signals. The front has flush mount LED signals mounted on the fairings. I have had this bike mapped and dyno'ed with the PCIII at FuelMoto , one of the best Suzuki tuners in the nation, and it puts down 152.01 HP peak at the rear wheel and that is SAE HP numbers, not DynoJet's inflated HP numbers.

Summary: This is quite a bike, if I must say so myself and has always been amazing performance and quite the headturner! It also has some custom paint effects (all professionally done and performed with professional products) such as the Blue Metalflake tastefully accenting all of the black painted parts on the body as well as getting rid of the horrid robin's egg blue common to these bikes from the factory below the white stripe on the lower fairing(s). Comes with extras and original parts as collected, also includes factory shop manual, original toolkit, and passenger seat pillion as well as the solo cowl. There are some plastic repairs that have been done on the front fairing, small tank ding, all shown in the photos and there is a small ding in the frame. Also, the windscreen on the bike is cracked but I have included the OEM windscreen to replace it. The extras alone on and with this bike have cost thousands (exhaust and PCIII alone were ~$1500), no expenses were spared on this bike, so why not get a great deal and a great bike at one of the most affordable levels for this caliber of bike! You won't find a better deal elsewhere! Please read description thoroughly before bidding or asking questions, although I will be more than happy to answer to inquiries. This bike is listed for sale locally so I do reserve the right to end the auction early if it sells, and all deposits are non-refundable and as with any used vehicle is sold as-is. Please arrange for pickup or shipping, and if there is something you would like to inquire about working out as far as delivery please ask first. Good luck and happy bidding!

On Oct-12-13 at 10:38:26 PDT, seller added the following information:

When listing the item I had selected that a $500.00 paypal deposit be placed within 48 hours of auction close, and I am noticing now it must have been deselected as there is no information showing this fact, but as stated, $500.00 deposit (non-refundable) within 48 hours of auction close to ensure the sale is completed. Thanks again and good luck and happy bidding!

John Hopkins British Superbike Round 2 Rundown

Tue, 06 May 2014

The Tyco Suzuki team is looking ahead to next week’s International North West 200 after a tough weekend at Oulton Park during round two of the British Superbike Championship. American John Hopkins took ninth place in Monday’s second race at the Cheshire venue after retiring from the opening encounter in the closing stages due to a problem sensor, which caused an intermittent misfire on his Tyco Suzuki GSX-R1000 Superbike. His team-mate Josh Waters took a brace of 13th-place finishes for his Oulton Park efforts and despite his obvious disappointment, the Australian did significantly improve his lap times from his visit in 2013.
