Moto Guzzi T3 description

Up for sale is this 1978 Moto Guzzi  cafe racer styled bike. This bike was built 10+ years ago from a very needy T3 model. The bike runs great but I have not ridden it much in the last few years which I guess is why its time to let her go. The bike has a 4LS front wheel and forks from an early V7 sport, Tarozzi rear sets, and a couple of Guzzi Tech aluminum bits. Some of bike  has hand made parts like the stainless dash plate, a stainless tray under the seat for the electronics and a battery box mounted where the center stand would be. The battery is a lithium ion type about one year old.  It has been sitting a while and I did notice a small amount of gear oil on the rear rim maybe the large seal in the final drive. The gauges are mismatched and the speedo is about 10mph less than actual speed, I found this out last year when I got a speeding ticket from THP. The ignition is a dyna electronic unit which is a big improvement in my opinion from the original dual point set up. Tires are Avon and in good shape handlebars are Laverda Jota adjustable bars. The paint is pretty good but does have a couple of chips in the tank, the graphics are vinyl. Its a pretty cool bike and always draws a lot of attention, Thanks for looking and feel free to ask any questions.

Wed, 26 Sep 2012

Piaggio announced it will bring its newly-updated V7 models to North America with sales to begin in mid-October. We’ve written about the Moto Guzzi V7 Stone, V7 Special and V7 Racer when they were first announced by Piaggio in March, and we already have a review of the V7 line up from our European correspondent Tor Sagen. As we predicted at the time the three 750cc models will be sold in North America as 2013 models.
