2012 MV Agusta F4 R Corsa Corta Revealed

MV Agusta has announced the 2012 edition of its F4 sportbike featuring the new “Corsa Corta” engine from the F4 RR. The 2012 MV Agusta F4 R Corsa Corta engine has a 79mm bore and a stroke of 50.9mm, compared to the 76mmx55mm engine found on the previous F4, last updated in 2010. The engine uses titanium valves, a first for production engines, and is paired to a new 4-2-1-4 exhaust with the F4′s signature underseat pipes.  According to MV Agusta, the new Corsa Corta engine produces 195 hp at 13,000 rpm and 82.6 ft-lb.

Massimo Tamburini: 1943 – 2014

Massimo Tamburini, creator of some of the industry’s most iconic motorcycle designs, has succumbed to lung cancer at the age of 70. Tamburini was diagnosed with the disease last November and underwent chemotherapy treatment but passed away April 6. Earning renown for designing motorcycles such as the Ducati 916 and the MV Agusta F4, Tamburini’s name will be forever linked with those two companies, as well as Cagiva and helped found Bimota (Tamburini is the “Ta” in the company’s name.) Austin Kicks Off MotoGP Weekend!

  This weekend, the MotoGP circus makes its way to the United States for round two of the world championship, held at the stunning new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, the first time the track will host a world championship level motorcycle event. Expect to see the world’s fastest racebikes reach speeds over 200 mph on the 1 km (0.62-mile) back straight, and bring ear plugs — these bikes are loud! Fresh off a 1-2 finish in the season opener in Qatar, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are looking to carry the momentum to CotA.
