2008 KTM 450 XCR-W, 6 speed 4 stroke. It's an awesome bike! I rode it from Colorado Springs, CO to Moab, Utah and back on 1 trip.
Comes with HID headlight, 6.3 gallon baja tank, regular tank, gell seat, grip seat, factory tool kit (very helpful), frame extension luggage rack, top rack tail bag, JD jet kit, tail/brake light assembly, added extra guards, extra air filter, Trail Tec high output stator, and all the manuals from new. It comes with all that and it's a KTM! $3,200. I do not receive a title from new so it comes with a bill of sale and the original manufacture tag only. Splashing through the summer on my RC8R
Wed, 18 Jul 2012For sure the wet summer has curtailed my intentions of using my RC8R at every opportunity. That said I've had a fair amount mixed weather track time around the UK which has helped me bond with the big KTM. I've found riding at tighter twistier tracks like Oulton and Knockhill are more satisfying as the low down grunt and quick handling means you can stay with pretty much anything.
2015 KTM 1290 Super Adventure Confirmed
Wed, 20 Aug 2014KTM has officially confirmed it will launch the new 1290 Super Adventure on Sept. 30 at the Intermot show in Cologne. To tide us over until then, KTM released this official image of the adventure-tourer and provided a few details, describing it as the “absolute pinnacle of luxury sport-touring riding.” Based on its name, we assume the Super Adventure will use the same engine as the 1290 Super Duke R.
Why KTM's sport 350 is a good idea
Wed, 10 Aug 2011KTM were unlucky when their plans were leaked (for covert market research?). Amongst those listed was the forecast for a Moto3 350. Now it is unlikely that the Moto3 class is going to grow from 250 to 350 by 2014, unless KTM are aware of something that the MotoGP rule-makers aren't.
