Motor is back from builder just a month ago, and the 4wk bolt by bolt reassembly with a toothbrush took place. I have started the motor, but it has not been ridden. This bike is baaad-nasty, not a triffle for gurlymen or those of weak constitution. On boldly to the specifics: $5,000 Mint 07 525 EXC, had 7500mi at time of my purchase a few years ago -- the 07 EXC is 50 state street legal from the factory, so it's no different than a Honda Accord when it comes to a license plate in any state -- clear clean title is in my name in my hand, non leins, loans, accidents, nor insurance claims -- if you don't know this bike, then this listing might not be for you, but very short: 50 state legal, best 4stroke ktm ever built, headlight, taillight, turn signals, horn, etc all from factory, 6speed tranny, estart and kick backup Then the build description begins. This is just off the top of my head, i keep remembering small details. But then who really cares about smaller details than these. When you're losing $15k or so on a build, the buyer either wants the bike or doesn't. $5,000 CAFLASH built 613cc motor - ZERO HOURS -- if you don't know who CAFLASH is, then google a bit - one of the top 2-3 RFS engine (what this has) builders alive today, or inquire, i can send details $0 hand build from scratch $0 stroker crank, lightened $0 angular crank bearings - better than stock $0 hybrid tranny for evenly spaced ratios -- (uses 1st and 5th/6th from EXC, and middle from MXC) -- the EXC tranny is gappy in that all gears are not even ratio's from each other -- having a hybrid means that every gear is evenly spaced from the next $0 tranny gears hand polished - slick shifting $0 big bore jug, sleeved not bored - for long life reliability (565cc before stroker crank) -- note this is the 560SMR jug we're using, not a sleeved EXC -- WHY you ask? b/c the 560SMR has better cooling and coolant flow - hence the buldged look of the jug itself $0 Head has ti valves $0 hand ported head $0 polished head porting $0 deshrouded head porting $0 HMC cam $0 lifetime engine warranty to me from builder $450 HT racing oil cooler -- this is the bulky looking billet alum thing on the left side of the motor -- almost doubles the oil capacity - as well as allows it to run COOLER than stock -- a side effect is that you can have longer service intervals if you so choose - but heck, oil is cheap, change it often is my recco - in general $1,000 Hinson Slipper Clutch, that ain't no joke! $300 FMF Ti slip on $350 DJH custom carb bore/port/polish to 41mm, setup $55 carb vent hose filter setup -- longevity in carb motors is largely about keeping dust out -- dust on 4 stroke carb bikes enters through the carb vent hoses during decelleration, so even with good filter management, that's the weak spot -- by adding in-line dust filters to the carb vent hoses themselves, it totally seals the entire system, no dust can enter = impossibly awesome engine life $800 2013 SXF forks, heavy spring (best fork ktm ever built) $400 SXS billet orange triple clamps $150 2014+ style headlight $500 scotts Steering stabilizer, BRP billet sub-mounted $300 Highway Dirt Bikes Next-Gen handlebar gaurds, tapped/threaded inserts $85 Pro Taper Woods Low bar $180 Trail Tech vapor + surround dash for indicator lights (signals/high-lo beam) $65 Double-take Mirror system, RAM mounted $240 TS Custom hand built seat $265 Promoto billet Rackit billet rack $165 Paul Willams custom rear subfender taillight/turn signals $100 ultra HD battery $2,00 RAD Cush Wheels handbuilt custom wheels, cush drive, orange hubs, orange nips, black excel rims $375 Continental SM Attack tires, as new -- wheels and tires were bought together recently, the guy i bought them from had 1 ride, appear to still have some nips OPTIONAL: If buyer is a ADV/DS style rider and prefers 21/18s - i will swap them per your preferences, high end, bling, tires of your choosing, etc. $40 2014 style front fender, custom cut to be SM style (no SM 2014 plus fenders exist) $220 new Clarke 3.2 gal tank $110 clarke billet ventless cap $175 Hammerhead Billet shift lever $75 Tusk billet brake lever $120 Carbon glide plate $55 new oem 38t rear sprocket $35 new oem 14t front $140 chain - was the best they sold, can't remember brand $140 billet rear axle slider/adjust crash sliders, orange bling $700 high end frame and swingarm prep, powdercoating, and pre-build prep $100 heavy rear spring, also powdercoated $60 longer throttle cables, motion pro $40 SMR vented airbox cover $20 engine ice $30 motorex $40 billet engine/oil plugs here/there $40 billet clutch lever cover $40 compression release lever/cable (not a stock item, added due to motor size having a ton of compression that is near impossible to kick over, aids allowing the e-start to get up to speed as well) I think that's the most of it. Notice that i haven't listed any labor charges. That would be pretty silly on the grand total calculations. I have not installed the chain yet - becuase I don't plan to ride it, and b/c if the NEW OWNER wants a different set of sprockets, i don't want to cut the chain now only to lengthen it later. About me: Ive been on ebay sine 2000, with 100.0% feedback, except 1 guy who stole a wheel from me a few years back. New item, scratched in transit, he opened case with ebay without allowing to respond, and negative-feedback'd me prior to following the process, he got fully refunded AND kept the wheel. I do not mess around, I'm as straight as they come with transacions, feedback, faithful representation, etc. I am no a dealer, i am just an enthusiast. My garage is over-stuffed with KTM's and something has to go. Now that this is dead perfect, it's time to let it go onto someone else, while i start on the next project. Shipping: I have shipped many bikes, it's easy and it's relatively cheap. I can assist and even execute the shipment for you. I typically use uShip.com however, which works similar to ebay, just the "listings" are shipments instead of "items." If you live within 700mi or so of Arkansas, figure $400, if you live on the coasts, 5-600. That's a guess - but is based on my actual shipping experiences, both as a buyer and seller. |

KTM Unveils E3W Concept, an Electric Plastic City Car

Designed as a compact, efficient urban transportation vehicle, the KTM E3W was created by KTM, the Austrian Institute of Technology design studio Kisha (as in Gerald Kisha, the KTM designer behind such models as the 1190 RC8R and 125 Duke.) The E3W has two wheels at the front with a single drive wheel at the rear. The E3W seats two people, entering the car through Lamborghini-esque scissor doors for easy access in tight parking spaces.
