In 1998, the trademarks were awarded to a group of investors who formed a new company based in Gilroy, California.Three models were made during this era:Scout / Spirit: These were the ''small'' bikes which used a common frame and S&S engine. The Scout was ''sporty'', while Spirit targeted light touring.The Chief was the flagship bike. It had its own larger chassis, and was powered by the first new Indian proprietary engine in 50 years, the Power Plus 100. Unfortunately, the Power Plus 100 was plagued by reliability issues.In September of 2003, Indian Motorcycle in Gilroy California declared bankruptcy and ceased operations. ring. Indian Motorcycle to Reveal 2015 Lineup at Sturgis
Wed, 25 Jun 2014Indian Motorcycle made a splash at last year’s Sturgis Rally, making its rebirth under Polaris Industries and revealing its Thunderstroke 111 V-Twin powered 2014 lineup. It should come as no surprise then that Indian announced it will reveal its all-new 2015 model lineup at this year’s Sturgis Rally. Although Indian makes the “all-new” claim, we expect a similar lineup to what’s currently available (Chief, Chief Vintage and Chieftain), perhaps with a revision or a new spin on an existing model.

Sat, 25 Jul 2015Jeb Skolman is the designer who brought the original custom project to life to honor the birth of the new Thunder Stroke 111 engine from Indian Co. He revealed his new work to the world that is called "Black Bullet". Jeb took the Indian Scout engine and put it in a dry frame.
