Beautiful very rare 1948 Indian Chief only the 2nd owner of this bike bought in 1962.  Motor has been rebuilt and only has 3000 miles on it  everything is original on the bike. 

This is chain driven with a 3 spd transmission tires are like brand new has dual brakes and original clutch assembly.

Indian Motorcycle made a splash at last year’s Sturgis Rally, making its rebirth under Polaris Industries and revealing its Thunderstroke 111 V-Twin powered 2014 lineup. It should come as no surprise then that Indian announced it will reveal its all-new 2015 model lineup at this year’s Sturgis Rally. Although Indian makes the “all-new” claim, we expect a similar lineup to what’s currently available (Chief, Chief Vintage and Chieftain), perhaps with a revision or a new spin on an existing model.

This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.
