Honda Valkyrie description

This is a well preserved 2004 Honda Rune, It was only used for pleasure, bike shows, car shows and just crusing around local area. It has quite a few mods done to it. It has Platinum Air Ride shock in the rear, modified exhaust,(sounds a lot better than stock) but not too loud.It has adj hi-way pegs, air horns,(hidden) Corbin windscreen,am/fm/cd/dvd/mp3/Bluetooth/rear view camera. The color is actually gun metal gray with black pearl on it. Under certain lighting it does turn colors black, gray or purple under certain lighting. It also has been modified for a car tire to fit. I put a stock back on it knowing most people would prefer it. But the car tire can go with the bike should the new owner wish to run it. It also has a new battery and new plugs. Its been well cared for and is in great shape,it currently has a little over 32000 miles on it and I'm still riding it so the mileage will most likely increase a tad. Im pricing this bike to sell its probably going to have the lowest reserve Ive seen for any Rune,so don't let this beautiful example of art work get away. Its your chance to own one of the radical production motorcycles ever built.Feel free to give me a call if u have any questions. Dave  1-734-674-4727

OEMs Plug into Electric Bikes

Sat, 01 Nov 2008

KTM introduced its prototype electric motorcycle earlier this week, and electric bike manufacturer Zero Motorcycles almost immediately responded by opening sales on its 2009 Zero X dirt bike (look for our review of the 2008 model next week!). But these two companies aren’t the only ones exploring the possibilities of electric-powered motorcycles. In September, Japan’s largest industrial information journal Nikkei Business Daily reported that both Honda and Yamaha have set target dates for launching their own electric-powered motorcycles.

Isle of Man TT 2012: TT Zero Results – MotoCzysz Wins 100 mph Bounty

Wed, 06 Jun 2012

Third time’s a charm. 2010 and 2011 TT Zero winner MotoCzysz, with rider Michael Rutter, finally became the first to average a speed of 100 mph on the Isle of Man‘s 37.733 Mountain Course on an electric motorcycle, capturing the long-sought after 10,000 British pound (US$15,000) bounty. Wearing the #1 plate for winning last year’s TT Zero, Rutter completed the 2012 TT Zero with a time of 21:45.33 for an average speed of 104.056 mph on the new 2012 MotoCzysz E1PC.

Day 1 Dakar 2014: Barreda Draws First Blood

Mon, 06 Jan 2014

Team HRC’s Joan Barreda on the Honda CRF450 Rally, got off to a storming start in day one of the 2014 Dakar rally, clocking up the fastest time of all the 175 riders at the first time-check. The former Husqvarna rider who moved to Honda in the middle of the season inaugurated his 2014 Dakar with an acrobatic performance. The motorcycle competition was expected to be wide open, and that is indeed what the classification shows after the opening stage. It was a very early start for the Rally Dakar. The pack of riders headed off at four in the morning on a long 251 miles that took them towards the vibrant city of Rosario for the start of the 112 mile special.
