Honda CL description

This is a chance for you to become the owner of a 48 year old 1968 Honda CL77 305cc Scrambler that is well preserved. It is in excellent condition. It is the ultimate barn find. I have owned it for 29 years. It has been stored in a dry and controlled facility. I doubt you will find one this nice except in a museum or a high end collection. Where ever I ride this cycle it gets thumbs up and total attention. The CL77 305cc Scramblers were only made from 1965 through 1968. It has 250 miles on it. The miles are believed to be original, but cannot be verified. It is red and silver. It has no oil or gas leaks. It has the original 305cc OHC wet sump parallel twin, dual carb engine with a 4-speed transmission. It starts right up and runs great. The transmission shifts like new. All electricals (headlight dim/bright, tail light, stop light, spedo light, neutral light, horn) all work on it. It has a new battery in it. It comes with the rare Honda tool kit. The tools are wrapped in the original pouch and are stored in the cycle’s on board tool container. The gas tank, side panels, fenders, and frame are all the original paint. The paint retains its original shine and luster. The front fender has a couple of scratches on it. The gas tank has one small rock chip on the front of it. The engine skid plate is missing. One of the exhaust pipes has a dent in it. The left front upper shock bezel is slightly dented. The tires tread is in excellent condition but they are starting to show sidewall cracking. The rims and handlebars are straight and retain their chrome shine. The spokes are in excellent condition. It has the original shocks and body parts. There is no rust or pitting on this cycle. The seat is like new with no rips or tears. I have the original exhaust pipes “can style” muffler that attaches to the end of the straight pipes. The muffler has a small dent in it. The chrome on the muffler are in great condition. I currently have the rare Snuff-R-Nuts thumb twist exhaust baffles on the end of the exhaust pipes. It has a clean Colorado title. The frame VIN number: CL77-1053570. The engine VIN number: CL77E-1053711. The old Hondas like this are getting more and more difficult to find, especially in this good condition. Their value continues to climb. This will be a cash transaction or an electronic funds transfer transaction only. I do not take PayPal, personal checks, bank checks, or certified checks, etc. No warranty is implied, or stated. No out of the country transactions will be accepted. Any shipping fees are paid by the buyer. I can assist in the securing of a qualified shipper, if needed.

Q3 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results

Fri, 01 Nov 2013

Motorcycle and scooter sales in the U.S. in 2013 remain consistent with last year’s figures, according to data released by the Motorcycle Industry Council. Several manufacturers blamed poor weather for the poor start this year, and the rebounding sales in the third quarter helped to negate the slow sales from earlier in the year.

2014 AMA Supercross – Seattle Results

Mon, 14 Apr 2014

Ryan Villopoto won his fifth race of the season while James Stewart took second place to just barely remain in contention for the 2014 AMA Supercross title. Meanwhile it was a bitter-sweet podium for third-place finisher KTM‘s Ryan Dungey who was officially mathematically eliminated from title contention. Racing in his home town of Seattle, Wash., Villopoto led every lap en route to an easy win, his fifth of the season.
