Honda CB description

1976 HONDA CB750K6

This offering is for one, completely restored 1976 CB750K6, VIN number CB750-2567568, engine serial number CB750E-2457049.

I'm truly having a hard time letting "Little Blue" go, but it's time to find her a new home. This bike was restored from a very nice original low mileage 750.  My goal in restoring it, was to give it a sporty feel and look with a few bolt on changes, but I kept it as true to a 750 as possible. It could be taken further down the Brat/Cafe path, or easily made original... better yet, ride the heck out of it just like it is! It never fails to turn heads. This would make an excellent steed for the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride next year!

The overall condition of the bike before restoration was very good.

Note- The bike was purchased with the wrapped MAC exhaust.

  • Top Overhaul was performed on the engine

  • Cylinders and pistons were standard size and new rings were installed

  • Head and barrel surfaces excellent.
  • APE heavy duty cylinder studs installed
  • Connecting rod side clearances good
  • Rod Pin end diameter good

  • All seals and gaskets replaced

  • Oil Pump good

  • Clutch disassembled and all friction surfaces were flat and still within new limits

  • Shifting mechanism is excellent and changes gears exceptionally well.

  • ALL JIS cover screws were replaced with OEM HONDA screws

  • Alternator stator checked good

  • ALL aluminum covers had scratches removed and then hand polished

  • Carburetors rebuilt with new floats and jets installed

  • Dyna S electronic ignition, new coils, new spark plug wires and NGK spark plugs installed for reliability and little to no maintenance.  Starts on first crank or kick.

Frame, Wheels, Brakes, Fenders and Swing Arm

  • Frame professionally stripped and powder coated

  • Frame was checked and verified for straightness

  • Wheel rims cleaned and polished with new tires and tubes installed

  • Front and rear brakes were cleaned.  Both drums and shoes are still within new limits. All visible parts polished to new appearance

  • Rear brake light switch was replaced with new HONDA part

  • Front and rear fenders are excellent and only required cleaning and polish

  • Swing arm rebuilt and new shocks installed

Electrical

  • New main wiring harness installed

  • ALL electrics WORK!

  • Regulator and rectifier were replaced with a modern solid state unit for reliability.

  • Beautiful New Yamiya Tank and side covers!!!

Note - The fuel selector valve is located on the right side instead of the left.

When possible, I purchased NOS or new Honda parts.

Mon, 14 May 2012

BMW earned its first-ever World Superbike race win at the U.K.’s Donington Park, but missed out on sweeping the round after teammates Leon Haslam and Marco Melandri crashed on the final corner while battling for the lead in the second race. Melandri earned BMW its landmark first win in Race One leading Haslam in a one-two finish. They could have repeated that finish in Race Two but Haslam low-sided after making contact with Honda‘s Jonathon Rea trying to pass on the inside.

Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin

Thu, 09 Mar 2017

At the Motodays show in Rome, Honda announced a hardcore version of the Africa Twin, featuring Dakar styling, technical innovations and a price tag that surpasses the exterior of the motorcycle in severity. The Italian division of Honda has comprehensively modified the CRF1000L, giving it the dashing style of an experimental vehicle along the way. There is a pretty good attempt to endow the motorcycle with the features of a Dakar monster.
