Harley-Davidson Touring description

Not often do you come across a bike with matching sidecar such as this...., it's probably one of the most sought after combinations.  A true investment.  Here ya go.., pretty much stock with the exception of a up-graded horn and Hand-lever emergency brake system and Vance/Hines exhaust.  The overall shape is very good with the minor flaws noted in the pics.  Please look closely at the pics or if you need more, just let me know.  There are a couple of rock chips and rubbing (sidecar).  These rubbed marks are smooth and if I had to best described this, its' very smooth and just like the sterling silver paint rubbed off.  I'm not much of a professional detailer/polisher and this might just come out.  I'd rather leave that up to the new owner.  Please note the following..  small right chip in the tank (left side, all the way back where your knees would buckle down).  The black marks (rubbing) is visible in the pics (on sidecar).  If these marks were not on this, I'd be asking an additional 1K in my price so please take this into consideration..  Basically, I'm deducting for the sidecar paint flaws..  The saddlebags do have some very minor rubbing on the clear coat but nothing major.  I will also point out that the King Tour Pak has a small crack located right near the left side lid (in front of the CB whip attenna) and some of the tour pak medallion has aged a little.  Overall the bike is about a 9 out of 10 (IMHO) and this bike is about 14 years old.  I've sold several collector bikes and this one is another from my personal collection.  I had another and sold it too and this one was like brand new with 700 miles ( I got 25K for that one)..  Mileage is extremely low for this vintage.  All electronics work with no known issues.  The seating is exceptional with no tears or cuts and the 100th badging is completely in tact on the drivers seat and sidecar backrest.  There is a a toneau cover that fits the sidecar perfectly.  The exhaust pipes do have some boot marks that will probably come off with a little elbow grease.  The front fork sliders do have some oxidation which is normal for this vintage and Harley's in general.

I will be happy to answer any questions, just email or txt/call me at 210-247-8753.  There is no warranty on this and so I encourage all the questions be answered before you decide to bid or send a best offer.  On that note, please be serious and please do not submit a low bid... we all know what I'm talking about here.    Test rides are encouraged and recommended.  The bike has a clear title but the sidecar comes with a MSO...  I will assist with shipping but this is on you.  I've used USHIP several times and worked out extremely well for myself.   Please note that an immediate payment of 500.00 is due with 24 hours and the rest within 7 days.  Paypal can be used for the 500.00 but the rest needs to be wired/cashiers check/cash.    Thanks and enjoy your day.  Kind Regards, Frank

Milwaukee’s The Iron Horse Hotel

Historically speaking, the kinds of places that have openly accepted or invited motorcycle enthusiasts and their bikes were lacking in a number of areas. While they may have been convenient and offered motorcycle-friendly amenities, they did so with little comfort or luxury. On the other hand, accommodations on the higher end of the spectrum were pretentious and inconvenient for storing bikes and gear.
