1979 Harley Davidson FLH Shovelhead
1337 cc, but when bought, was told it was bored out larger.
Has an aftermarket 5 speed transmission, with no kick start.
Has FLH front fender, with a FX 3 ½ gallon fuel tank, and FX rear fender.
Aftermarket seat, Harley sissy bar back rest, aftermarket drag pipe exhaust, a black S&S Super E Carburetor, Black front head light bezel, powder coat black primary cover, and a chrome battery cover.
Has a slight oil leak, like most bikes from this era.
This bike is defiantly a project, but it's a great price for a great shovelhead. Please feel free to ask any questions.

Harley-Davidson Recalls Over 100,000 Touring Models, 1400 Street Models

Wed, 01 Oct 2014

Harley-Davidson has recalled more than 105,000 Touring models from the 2014 model year, and approximately 1400 Street models from the 2015 model year. The Touring models have been recalled due to a possible failure of a component in the clutch master cylinder. This possible failure could cause a reduction in pressure available to keep the clutch disengaged, according to the NHTSA.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results

Tue, 22 Jul 2014

Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
