BMW R90/6 w/Dneper sidecar (1974)
1974 BMW R90/6 with Dneper sidecar - Recently tuned and replaced alternator rotor and battery. Customer is getting on in years and just doesn't ride enough to keep it. This is a very nice older rig we built about 10 years ago. The odometer doesn't work, but we have kept track of the mileage. It is approximately 54,000. Oil has been changed regularly and tune ups about every 1 1/2 years. The triple trees have been upgraded to Perry's sidecar triple tree. It has a steering dampner from bike to sidecar. This rig is ready to go just about anywhere. If you are local, or you want to fly in from out of State and have not driven a sidecar rig before, we will give you sidecar lessons. BMW Announces Recall Campaign for K1600 Family Motorcycles
Fri, 25 Feb 2022The recall concerns all 2019-2020 BMW K1600 models due to the risk of rear suspension link failure caused by a manufacturing defect - the strength of the part does not meet the factory requirements. This linkage may be destroyed during normal road use, causing the rear of the motorcycle to fall onto the rear wheel. BMW dealers this spring will begin notifying owners of motorcycles that are subject of the recall campaign to visit an authorized dealership for a rear suspension linkage replacement.
