BMW R-Series description

Up for sale is a beautiful 2007 R1200R in silver/black.  Includes BMW system cases, engine guards and sport shield/bracket.  ABS brakes, heated grips. All service was done less than 500 miles ago including: oil/filter change, air filter change, trans fluid change, final drive oil change, valve adjustment, brake bleed, throttle sync.  All maintainence was done with the help of the GS-911 diagnostic system and the computer shows no fault codes.  This bike is near mint and ready to ride.

The bike runs super-smooth and everything is in top notch condition. Paint is perfect.. no scratches, dents, dings, etc. Tires have at least 50% tread left, but I'm no expert on sport-touring tires so I can't be sure.  Includes 2 keys that are both keyed to the ignition and side cases.  Bidding starts at $6500 which is $2000 less than Blue Book.  If you don't feel like taking chances I'm listing a "Buy It Now" for $8000 which is still 500 less than Blue Book.  Keep in mind the BB estimate is before cases, windshield, options, etc.

The only issues worth mentioning are cosmetic and there are not many.  Plastic on left mirror stem is cracked slightly; slight markings on triple tree from an aftermarket windshield; slight crack in headlight lens about 2" long... hasn't gotten any bigger in 2,000 miles; slight crack in plastic mount on one of the side cases... cosmetic only, doesn't affect the way the bag mounts or the bags security.  Couple scuff marks on the side cases.  There are some scratches on the aftermarket engine guards, but they were bought used from another bike and installed on this one...this bike has never been down. Everything is outlined in the photos so let me know if you'd like more pictures.  Most issues were hard to photograph and barely noticable, but just trying to disclose everything.

Clear title.  Any questions please ask.  Good luck.  I hate to see her go!

Photo: Brian J. Nelson Even though reigning AMA Pro Superbike champ Josh Herrin has left the series to try his hand in the Moto2 series, the Superbike field is still filled deep with talent heading into this weekend’s series opening round at Daytona. Here are just a few names to keep an eye on this weekend.

BMW showed the electric scooter of the future

Fri, 05 May 2017

Motorrad Concept Link is a two-wheeled gadget that understands its owner. An electric propulsion system with a traction battery located in the lower part of the “body” and a motor that transmits traction to the rear wheel via a belt drive is far from the most remarkable aspect of the concept. For example, it has a stretched wheelbase and reverse gear.
