This has been my baby since 1990. October of 2015 she took me on a 750 mile trip through the hill country.Never given me a problem. Mechanically sound. The only niggles are repaired Rt valve cover, missing horn cover,Few cracks in white seat piping (cover in excellent shape),Paint on top of tank is poor (see pic),Paint slightly faded on front fender and speedo records mileage but will stay in the 30 to 60 mph range. Leaving on vacation Aug. 27th. Travelling through western US.Could deliver if you are in range. LMK where you live .The bike comes with full tool kit and tire pump as well as tool tray.When is the last time you seen this.Only selling to restore one of my R90/S.

BMW Warns of Potential Defect in 2014 R1200RT Suspension

BMW is issuing a warning to owners of the 2014 R1200RT with the Dynamic ESA option about a potential defect with the rear suspension. No formal recall has been announced at the moment; BMW is calling it a precautionary measure, though that may change in time or depending on the market. According to BMW, the piston rod of the rear spring strut could break.

BMW Acquires Original Factory

BMW has acquired a 3.2-acre parcel of land that includes the company’s original factory. Built in 1918, the historic site in the Milbertshofen district of Munich, Germany, housed BMW’s original aircraft engine production plant. The company says the land will become the new home for BMW Group Classic, a subsidiary that documents BMW’s past.

One of his preferred brands was Husqvarna (another, seen here, was Triumph) and to the delight of motorcycle enthusiasts and McQueen fans alike, one of his bikes will soon be in the hands of a new owner. This 1970 Husqvarna 400 Cross owned and ridden by Steve McQueen will be up for auction on January 10th, at Bally’s Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, by Bonhams. The motorcycle comes with an exhaustive quantity of documents supporting its provenance and authenticity.
