EICMA 2013: 2014 BMW R1200RT Revealed

Tue, 05 Nov 2013

We confess, the BMW R1200RT was a glaring omission from our list of top 10 motorcycles to watch at EICMA. There are so many new bikes coming out at the 2013 EICMA show, it was hard enough to narrow it down to just 10, but that doesn’t excuse us forgetting BMW is adding another model powered by the new R1200GS‘ liquid-cooled boxer engine. Follow the rest of our 2013 EICMA show coverage The peak numbers for the R1200RT are the same as with the GS, with BMW claiming 125 hp at 7700 rpm and 92.2 ft-lb at 6500 rpm.

As a result of the seemingly lengthy development time of the drop-top version of the new 4-Series, we’ve been waiting with baited breath for the car’s official release. While the car remains unreleased, a few images of the new BMW 4-Series Convertible have leaked online apparently sourced from an official brochure for the new car.

New naked BMW spotted on track days

Sat, 03 Sep 2016

The future generation of the "1-liter" naked BMW S1000R was spotted during the development tests on the territory of the German racing "ring" Oschersleben. Apparently, the Bavarian streetfighter will receive a number of technical solutions that his older brother, the BMW S1000RR, was endowed with a couple of years ago. Just as the current generation of the SR was created on the base of the previous SR-era, the 2017 modification will actually become a stripped version of today's sportbike.
