It's equipped with ANTILOCKING BRAKES, on board computer, heated hand grips, hand guards and BMW vario expandable cases. It's no exaggeration to refer to this bike ''like new''. Never ridden off road, always garaged. It's under full factory warrantee until 4/ 0/2014. Tires have more than 50% tread. The bike is ready for the road, and it needs nothing. Mon, 23 Apr 2012The Netherlands hosted a dramatic weekend of World Superbike racing that featured a red-flagged wet race, several riders crashing while leading, a first-time race winner, a photo finish between two teammates and the reigning World Champion finishing out of the points because of a poor choice of tires. The 2011 WSBK Champion Carlos Checa arrived at Assen with the lead in the championship and a three-race winning streak, but opting to run wet tires in Race Two cost him the lead and may have contributed to a crash that severely injured Liberty Racing‘s Brett McCormick. The motorcycle got into the lenses of spy cameras during tests in Germany. It is expected that the novelty will be equipped with a 300 cc single-cylinder power plant.
2009 BMW S1000RR Entering Production
Wed, 04 Feb 2009We’re finally able to share some pictures and info about the production version of BMW’s new literbike, the S1000RR. We now know that it has a claimed dry weight of 403 pounds, which should be competitive with its Japanese literbike rivals. The all-new inline-Four powerplant displaces 999cc, and its cylinder head is said to be very narrow and compact, with the valves actuated by “very small” cam followers that are nearly at Formula 1 levels in size.
