1981 BMW R80GS, This is a model we hardly ever have available because no one ever turns them loose. We got lucky and a long time DC resident was moving out of the country and could not take either of his BMW???s. While this machine is not beautiful by any standards it is a real 1981 R80GS and these are in very high demand and extremely short supply in any condition. First you should know that it starts, runs, shifts and stops just fine.It???s also bit cold-blooded but that???s to be expected when one spends considerable money upgrading it to the Siebenrock 1000 cc top end kit. Some additional tuning might improve this further if not just some regular exercise as it???s seen very few miles over the past few years before we got it and we???ve had it since July of 2012. Yeah, it got pushed into the warehouse with all the others despite having a bunch of money tied up in it. It also has a deep oil pan, some Hepco & Becker bag mounts and luggage rack and a European Stainless steel low pipe exhaust.
