BMW K-Series description

BEAUTIFUL Black 2008 K1200S BMW

NO RESERVE NO DETRACTIONS MANY UPGRADES

"Wilbers Racing Suspension" shocks (rear is easily externally adjustable by knob as shown in pics) these remote reservoir high end shocks are a big upgrade to the overall feel of this bike and is rare but nice to see the money being spent on the right things here. Suspension upgrades were close to $2k! If you have ever has the chance to ride a K1200S with dual adjustable remote reservoir EXPENSIVE externally adjustable (Knob and 2 screw 3 way well 4 really if you add spring preload as an adjustment which it is) you WILL BE AMAZED at how stable and solid a motorcycle can actually feel WOW! NICE!!

GREAT condition all areas. ABS brakes equipped (NICE!)

165hp stock, as tuned w full exhaust closer to 180hp! 0 to 60 mph in 2.4 seconds yet could EASILY drive coast to coast in total comfort AND safety w ABS braking etc...

**** Drives perfect slowly also and in comfort/safety ****

BRAND NEW ITEMS:
-Oil and Filter
-120/70/17 front and 190/50/17 rear German made ZR tires (put on July 1st 28 miles on them in the pics!)
-NEW Battery JUST installed

FULL EXHAUST that sounds just right (louder but not too loud at all) and is WAY lighter (noticeably lighter/better feeling than stock) and with this tune REALLY fast/faster but with better feel and economy when just cruising!

NEEDS:
-NOTHING WHATSOEVER "Turn Key 100%"

Exceptional Motorcycle to be SURE!

Miles will likely go up a small amount until sold, LOVE riding this bike.

Motorcycles at the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show

Mon, 28 Sep 2009

Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.

Tue, 13 Nov 2012

As we reported in August, BMW is replacing its F800ST sport tourer with a new, more touring-oriented version called the F800GT. Revealed at the 2012 EICMA Show in Milan, Italy, the 2013 BMW F800ST is equipped with a 798cc parallel Twin engine claiming 88 hp at 8000rpm, an increase from the BMW F800ST’s claim of 84 hp at 8000rpm (the 2012 F700GS and F800GS also claims 84hp from a similar engine.) Other changes include better wind protection, lighter wheels, new higher-mounted handlebars, repositioned footrests, and load capacity increased to 456 pounds from 432 pounds. Like all current BMW motorcycles, the F800GT comes standard with ABS.
