A previous owner removed the enricher lever at the handlebar, but it starts fine without: 

• turn throttle one-quarter open
• press start
• close throttle
• run at 1200 to 1500 RPM for a bit 
• then off you go, go, go.

The bike pulls like a freight train and is happiest in the 5000 to 5500 RPM range.
