In other news, Husky plans on teasing us with the 2015 model lineup sometime this summer! We’ll keep you posted as we learn more.

Finally, Husqvarna began its dealer meeting by unveiling its new headquarters in Murrieta, CA. With over 300 dealers and other assorted VIPs, media, and industry members in attendance, the ribbon was cut to celebrate the facility’s official opening. The 15,000 square-foot headquarters will serve as the US base of operations for Husqvarna.

The topic of Husqvarna’s ownership by KTM AG was discussed with President Jon-Erik Burleson stressing that Husky and KTM will maintain their individual characters and have separate dealerships “where possible” in addition to separate marketing and racing divisions.

“We not only have a great opportunity with Husqvarna, but also a responsibility to uphold its core values,” said Burlson, “Husky stands for premium components, Swedish culture, heritage and of course, racing, and we remain dedicated to these values with the rebirth of Husqvarna.

“Husqvarna’s marketing, customer service and racing efforts will be run completely separate from KTM North America. We’re excited to have two European brands to challenge the four Japanese brands with in the market place instead of just one, but I’m also really looking forward to going to the races and seeing Husqvarna and KTM battling each other for the win.”
