Yamaha YZF description

Hello everybody :),I have a sweet bike on the trading table......This is a 2002' Yamaha YZF R1R1 superbike:1000cc fuel injected twenty valve inline 4 cyl160 H.P @ 10,000 rpmsix gear trans with massive 300mm disk brakes2800 mis on the odometer & less than 75 mis on the tiresWith a zero - 60 mph time of 2.3 seconds & a top speed of 200 mph +/-, this suberbike commands respect and is not to be taken lightly. Its a blast to ride, its well balanced, maneuverable and super responsive. I have a lot of fun riding this bike, but I need something with a bit more room to stretch out on, so I am looking to trade for a V-Twinn cruiser.I am partial to Shadows, Vulcans & V-Stars, although I will look at other options. This books about $4,800 , so I am looking for a fair trade deal, not some flakey low ball garbage. Serious inquiries only please. I will not turn the keys over to some kid looking for a fast test drive just so you can die, sorry. Those with respect for their machines and are interested, please call or text me.Jim 208-570- two 0 two 1.... NO IT'S NOT an illusion: you're looking at the 1981 Yamaha OW53, ridden by double World Champion Barry Sheene in the first three rounds of the '81 500GP championship. The bike's owner, aircraft engineering entrepreneur Chris Wilson, has lent the £100,000 GP machine to Visordown for our stand at this year's NEC Motorcycle Show - 27th November to 6th December 2009. Sheene raced the bike in the 1981 championship, where he finished fourth at Salzburgring, sixth at Hockenheim and third at Monza.

50th Anniversary Yamaha Special Edition R1? Yes Please!

Fri, 09 Sep 2011

When Yamaha unveiled its 50th anniversary edition red and white livery for its M1 MotoGP machines in May, one question came immediately to mind: when can we get the special edition R1? The red and white design was created to celebrate Yamaha‘s 50th year in Grand Prix racing. Yamaha factory racers Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies debuted the livery at the Assen round in June, which saw the American Spies nab his first a career MotoGP win.
