2015 Yamaha YZF R1 in near perfect condition, no dings or scratches. Only 1200 original miles, has been adult ridden, no wheelies or any hard riding, just spirited twists of the throttle. All Factory campaign updates have been completed. For the buy it now price I will include a large blacked out HJC helmet (used for life of bike), and a small black and red HJC (worn 3 times buy my wife). Only mod is Graves rear fender eliminator, still have the original parts as well. Will include original rear fender in sale. No games - No Test Rides. 2013 Yamaha XT250 Receives Fuel Injection
Thu, 07 Jun 2012The Yamaha XT250 dual sport is getting a fuel injection system for the 2013 model year, replacing the previous model’s 33mm Teikei carburetor. Apart from fuel injection and new graphics, the only other changes are a new TCI ignition system in place of the 2012 model’s CDI ignition, and a slightly larger gas tank (2.6 gallons versus 2.4 gallons on last year’s model). The 249cc air-cooled SOHC engine and five-speed transmission remains unchanged.
Yamaha Tests New Engine Spec at Sepang
Tue, 28 Feb 2012Yamaha MotoGP riders Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies tested new engine specifications for their YZR-M1 prototypes on the first day of testing at Malaysia’s Sepang circuit. Wet conditions limited track time in the afternoon but Yamaha was able to get some data on the engine in the morning. Yamaha also worked on finding a solution to front end chatter problems.
Canada Gets Race Blu 2013 Yamaha Fazer8
Fri, 07 Dec 2012Back in September, Yamaha revealed a special “Race Blu” livery for a the YZF-R1, YZF-R6 and the YZF-R125 for the European market. Yamaha promoted the new color scheme with Jorge Lorenzo and Ben Spies sporting the colors on their leathers and M1 race bikes at the Misano and Aragon MotoGP rounds. North American consumers were left out, however, getting a Team Yamaha Blue and White version instead for the R1 and R6 (the R125 isn’t offered here either).
