Yamaha YZF-R description
Up for sale is this beautiful and fun to ride 2014 Yamaha YZF-R1 in Team Yamaha Blue/White colors. I'm the first and only adult owner this bike has seen since I purchased it for nearly 17k back in 2014. Since I've owned the bike I've done a few tasteful modifications to enhance looks and improve overall rideability. I've put nothing but the best available parts on this bike by Graves among other quality manufacturers, no expenses have been spared what-so-ever. The reason I've decided to sell the bike is because I simply can't find the time to ride it as much as it deserves due to hectic work schedules, I'd rather see the bike go to a new home with a good owner who can truly enjoy it instead of just sitting in my garage as decoration.
I will start off by saying that this is not your average Japanese crotch rocket, this is a very powerful liter bike with plenty of torque delivery all throughout the powerband, definitely not meant for beginner or intermediate riders. About the bike: This is a true Supersport 1000cc bike in its class, it features alot of Yamaha's MotoGP technology including:
The bike currently has 932 Miles (and counting as i ride it everytime i get a chance) The 600 Mile service was done back in March for proper break in, at that time I had the oil, oil filter, and air filter changed, along with the install of the Graves exhaust system. I've had absolutely zero issues with this bike since I purchased it, it fires right up every time and as you can tell, I barely finished breaking it in. Only hiccup I had back in November 2015 was catching a nail on my rear tire, which I had replaced for a brand new one. Upgrades:
All in all this is truly a great bike in pristine condition with no damage or drops, it has always been meticulously maintained and cared for, as seen on the pictures, what you see is what you get, this bike has been my garage queen since day one and it shows. For any questions or picture requests feel free to reach me at 786.278.699O via text message, I will get back to you as soon as I can. ***PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING*** The Bike is currently listed for sale in other places outside of eBay, so I reserve the right to end the auction at any time, the winning bidder is responsible for a $1000 non-refundable deposit due 24 hrs after auction's end, and the remaining balance is due within 7 Days after auction end in Cash, Cashier's Check, or Wire Transfer. There is no warranty expressed or implied on this listing, so the bike is being sold "AS IS" "WHERE IS" which means the buyer is responsible for shipping and pickup arrangements of the bike in Miami, FL However I am willing to assist as much as I could for bike pickup. Thank you for Watching and Goodluck! |

1974: Onboard an MV racer with Phil Read
Fri, 19 Feb 2010ANOTHER CRACKING BIT of vintage racing footage, this time featuring multiple motorcycle world champion Phil Read on the awesome-sounding MV Agusta 500-4.The footage is from the 1974 movie 'The Iron Horse' made by Frenchman Pierre-William Glenn.Read’s 1974 500cc World Championship victory was the last year a four-stroke won the world title before the advent of the MotoGP class in 2002. Giacomo Agostini won the crown from Yamaha in 1975, followed by Suzuki-mounted Barry Sheene in '76 and '77. The footage is bloody good, considering the camera technology of the day.
