Yamaha YZF-R description

This is a PRISTINE 2004 Yamaha R1 with low mileage in a classy color! One of the last years of 5 valves per cylinder which, if you know your R1's, is the fastest until the 2015. Only model with five valve heads and under seat exhaust. My friend has spent a fortune on building this bike to the top specifications..he just does not have an ebay account or time to ride it so I am listing it for him. Has clear open Texas title as per pic. This motorcycle has never been dropped stunted or raced. It has sat for most of its life, only ran around the block or on short rides. I rode it for the first time and it without a doubt is the fastest bike I have ever ridden an I have owned a Ducati 1098s and two GSXR 1000s..  this bike is SCARY fast!!

How To Rebuild a Yamaha R6 In Under A Minute + Video

Mon, 30 Jun 2014

If you’re new to the road racing scene, you might have heard the terms “Factory” and “Privateer.” For the casual observer, you’ll notice the difference between the two ultimately comes down to money and support, as one is likely working out of the back of their van while the other is supported by an 18-wheeler. This video, shot by the Y.E.S./Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha team makes the line between the two sides clear as day. Watch as the Yamaha crew rebuilds Garrett Gerloff’s R6 from the frame up after a nasty crash with enough time to make the race.
