Yamaha YZF-R description

i have a 2001 yzf r6 for sale, it runs great and drives strong.23,226 miles I put on a stunt cage, a subframe cage, and -1 in the front sprocket. The cage and subframe are from a different year bike so I had to make custom brackets on them! I have stock sprocket as well. It is all blacked out lights(painted tint) except the turn signals. Has HID blue headlights. It currently has GYTR exhaust on it but I also have a shorty exhaust for it as well. the only reason im selling is I need a truck for winter. This is for sale locally so I have the right to end the auction when I feel. It has a reserve but is priced to sell. Pick up only!!! and Cash only!! will consider trades for a 4x4 whether it be 99 or newer chevy truck, or dodge. No ford unless it is a f250 or powerstroke. I may consider trading for a 99 or up Tahoe (new body style) I like my vehicles with lift kits, so that's always a plus. Contact me for questions or trade offers, 814=88one=two70six. Please contact me before buying

Police Catch Up with Motorcycle Doing 185 mph in YouTube Video

Fri, 20 Apr 2012

Authorities in British Columbia, Canada, have impounded a 2006 Yamaha R1 believed to have starred in a YouTube video reaching speeds of 299 kph (185 mph) on a freeway. The onboard video, embedded after the jump, captures the Yamaha weaving through traffic, and often lane-splitting between other vehicles, covering a 4.67 mile stretch of the Trans-Canada Highway in about a minute and 56 seconds. That translates to an average speed of 144.6 mph.

Ienatsch, Hill, Russell, Bestwick To Give Speech At Yale Today

Thu, 30 Jan 2014

In what might be considered the most shocking news of 2014 so far, Nick Ienatsch and Ken Hill are going to Yale. While some might think the Chief and Lead instructors at the newly revamped Yamaha Champions Riding School are getting in over their heads, the two are at Yale as lead presenters for “Excellence In Motion: What Motorcycle Racing Can Teach Us About Success,” which begins at 4pm (local time) today.  When put into context, their appearance at one of the nation’s top schools is understandable. Each has had their fair share of success aboard motorcycles, and they will be joined by two more champions on two-wheels, five-time Daytona 200 winner and 1993 World Superbike Champion Scott Russell, and Jamie Bestwick, an avid motorcyclist and winner of eight consecutive X-Games BMX Vert gold medals.

Yamaha’s board of directors has voted in transfer all shares of its Canadian subsidiary to its American subsidiary, a move which would give Yamaha Motor U.S.A. responsibility over the entire North American market. The proposed transfer, set to begin in December,  will make Yamaha Motor Canada a subsidiary of its American counterpart.
