Yamaha YZ tech info
Yamaha YZ description
The motor was ported and polished by WKR with huge boost ports added to the reed block and the cylinder head was machined as the YZ490s. had a factory flaw of predetonation was taken care of and we added a compression release, the crank was stuffed and balanced we also added right hand shift you can shift from right or left side. The motor was just completely gone through for the Do Quoin mile 07/01/16 new piston and rings fresh bore and brand new Maxis CD3. rear tire not even mounted. Every part in the engine is factory Yamaha OEM NOS parts. Except Burnett clutch plates and springs, Lectron fuel system 44mm powerjet with K&N air filter and Jemco exhaust system. The chassis is a Knight frame super light series Nickle plated reinforced at front motor mounts to hold all that horse power in the frame laugh if you like wait until you ride it unreal but with the port work and fly wheel ignition perfect for flattrack racing. Rear shocks we tryed everything Fox, S/W, until we got a hold of JRI shocks out of North Carolina we found what we needed the front forks AMA open Vintage legal inverted front forks off a 2010 Ninja ZX10 the tank and seat pan custom painted with house of color by Dan Goodwin design. Kennedy wheels W3 front Kennedy quick change W5 rear with both rims gold brakes are Wilwood kart brakes with brand new vented disc adapted to fit like the vintage day set up but these brakes work not like the old Hurst airhart never worked correctly for you old timers would remember. I did not race the Do Quoin mile do to health reasons at my age I have decided to retire and can't wait to see some younger racer get all the benefits that this professionally built bike has to offer. Just take a look at my Ebay score and you can see we do not do anything part way and this was my personal racing bike and is a proven winner. Good luck bidding this bike does not even need gas to go racing it is ready to go right now! This bike comes with its own tool box full of brand new spare parts that you would want to have at the track plus every size countershaft sprocket available the stock carburetor with throttle assembly. Lots and lots of parts everything goes. You will not be disappointed this bike is race ready not some barn find from the eighties every possible part is brand new over $10k invested good luck bidding. |
