Up for sale here is a true 98% original 76 YZ 400. I will start out with my camera sucks and the photos do not do the bike justice. It starts right up and runs Great!! Seriously this bike is so original it is Awesome!! It has a dent in the tank on the left side as you are sitting on the bike( not real bad) Original seat is great! Even the original handlebars, With slight bend an easy fix. Exhaust is perfect with no dents or rust holes, Fork tubes are great, Wheels spin straight, Only bad is the kick stand mount has been welded back on( fine though) Air forks still hold air just fine, Air box all intact in nice shape with new filters, Even has the original kill button, As you can see in one of the photos there is a pile of NOS parts that go with the bike. And check it out both of the air canister rubber covers are still on it. You will NEVER find another like it as this bike was only built for I year only. Thu, 15 Sep 2011Bumped into a riding instructor last weekend. Not literally, though, I'm pleased to add. The road had been closed by a big accident and we'd all been forced into the same coffee/petrol stop together. He had one pupil with him on a 125 Yamaha custom thing.
Rossi 'training' at his MotoRanch
Mon, 30 Jan 2012Like Kenny Roberts, Valentino Rossi has got his own ranch where he has built his own private motocross track and dirt oval. The above YouTube video shows Rossi training on the flat-track circuit that makes up his 'MotoRanch' located near his home town of Tavullia. He's shown riding a Yamaha, but that's probably because Ducati don't have themselves a scrambler.
Small-Displacement Class Considered for 2015 AMA Pro Racing Season
Wed, 04 Dec 2013More and more manufacturers are entering the small-displacement sportbike market and AMA Pro Racing has taken notice, opening the possibility of adding a new racing class representing the growing segment. With plans to consolidate the Daytona Sportbike and Supersport classes and the Vance & Hines Harley-Davidson series signed through 2015, a spot will open up on race weekends for another racing class to support the premier Superbike Championship. The logical choice is to introduce a new small-displacement class.
