Yamaha XT description

Super low mile (only 1,800 original miles) Yamaha XT 500 just out of long term storage. Maybe the nicest one you will ever see or find. 1981 was the last U.S. model year made and they are very hard to come by and are very cool looking in the silver and bare aluminium color scheme. Engine is original and has never been touched with the engine number matching the frame number. Very rare original tires which where installed on the assembly line and obviously have the impossible to get today correct date codes on them (a very big point boost in the all original/survivor motorcycle shows). Tires are still in excellent shape for their age and even still have the paint/ink stamp on them and the rims even still have the stickers on them as well. Inside the gas tank looks absolutely like new. The tool kit is perfect original and has never been used. Hand grips are original and perfect. Bike has never been off-road and even the aluminium skid plate is free of any marks or scrapes. All the chrome is excellent. The front fork aluminium is flawless and just like the day it was made. The bike really is a museum worthy bench mark vehicle with all the stickers still in place and factory paint/ink part numbers on items etc... Seat cover is still original and perfect. Bike runs flawlessly as you would expect and is a very easy starter as this last model came with the carb throttle positioner which makes starting a sinch. I can start this bike with one or two kicks when cold, one when warm. Bike is all factory original and untouched and unrestored in any way. The only real cosmetic flaw is a shallow dimple on top of the gas tank but the paint is completely undamaged so the dimple can be easily pushed out by a paintless dent remover and it will be perfect. This is a no excuse or story needed vehicle and is in amazing condition. Pink slip is clean, clear, and in my name. Bike is insured and DMV street registered in CA so absolutely no title issues or back fees. You will have a very heard time if not impossible to find one nicer or more original unless you can find one still n the crate. I have too many collector vehicles and am seeing if I can thin the heard a little bit. Bottom line is I am willing to part with this bike if I get a reasonable amount for it, otherwise I will keep it as it is a rare fun bike that is only going up in value. Call me if you have questions or would like to come see and inspect the bike during the auction run time. My cell number is (626)602-4054, ask for Kurt. Buyer is responsible to have vehicle picked up. Bike at my home. Bike does not leave till bank says funds have cleared.
