Yamaha XJ650 R SECA description

Hello, I am selling my 1982 Yamaha XJ650 R SECA Cafe Racer project. This bike comes with a clean title.

Approximate 33,000 miles on the bike.

Modifications done to the bike include:

55-59 Chevy pickup LED taillight.
LED Projection headlights
Battery relocated with its own custom box
4 to 1 headers
Wrapped Headers
Full Chassis harness tuck for a clean Cafe Racer look
Cafe Racer style seat
Safety kill switch
RFY rear shocks
Tack and Speedo delete
Bobber Style license plate mount with LED light
Drilled front rotors

This bike will include in the sale, most if not all original equipment that came with the bike. This is a project bike so some minor modifications will still need to be done but it does not hinder it's ride-ability. The bike is ready to ride and register. Yes it's fast, its loud and it turns heads. I love this bike and I hate to see it go but I no longer need the bike at this time.

Wed, 08 Jan 2014

Stage 4 of the 2014 Dakar saw Juan Pedrero take his maiden victory aboard a Sherco SR 450 Rally. Although not in contention for the overall, Pedrero showed he has outgrown his previous role as Marc Coma’s lieutenant at KTM by bringing his Sherco across the finish line 3:10 faster than third place Coma and 29 seconds faster than second place finisher Francisco Lopez. Coma’s performance in today’s stage moved him to only 3:10 behind overall leader Joan Barreda.

Austin Kicks Off MotoGP Weekend!

Wed, 17 Apr 2013

This weekend, the MotoGP circus makes its way to the United States for round two of the world championship, held at the stunning new Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, the first time the track will host a world championship level motorcycle event. Expect to see the world’s fastest racebikes reach speeds over 200 mph on the 1 km (0.62-mile) back straight, and bring ear plugs — these bikes are loud! Fresh off a 1-2 finish in the season opener in Qatar, Jorge Lorenzo and Valentino Rossi are looking to carry the momentum to CotA.

How do 1000s compare to the 800s

Wed, 09 Nov 2011

Now MotoGP has completed its transformation from 800 to 1000cc, how do the lap times between the different bikes compare using Valencia and the post-season test as a benchmark.. Yesterday, Dani Pedrosa was the quickest 1000 on his Honda RC213V setting a time of 1:32.186. To find the quickest time from the outgoing 800 era you have to look at his current Repsol Honda team-mate, Casey Stoner, but it wasn't set on a Honda.
