Yamaha XJ1100 Maxim description

Odometer reads 30,600ish miles but will go up since I am still riding it from time to time.  Tank and fuel level reader was replaced due to rust.  Petcocks both rebuilt.  Fuel lines replaced.  Both front and rear brake cylinders were rebuilt and pads replaced.  Carbs were rebuilt and tuned.  Only reason I am selling is due to the fact I have my eye on another bike I would like to purchase.  Bike needs to be paid for 48 hours after winning bid and buyer will need to set up their own shipping if that is required.

Day 3 Dakar 2014: Barreda Maintains Overall Lead, Despres Catches Up

Tue, 07 Jan 2014

Joan Barreda won his second special stage this year and now boasts a lead of more than 13 minutes over Cyril Despres and Marc Coma, the two other beneficiaries of a particularly decisive stage. Today’s stage, part one of the first marathon stage with no team service, was characterized by the highest ever racing altitude in Dakar history. Facing the 22,841 foot summit of the Aconcagua, South America´s highest mountain, the motorcycle riders had to cross a pass over 14,107 feet in elevation in trial-like conditions.

Retirement is rife but thankfully not for Vale

Thu, 15 Nov 2012

The racing season may be over but the winter nights will surely fly by as we watch reviews, debate events of 2012 racing and relish the excitement that lays ahead in 2013. Unfortunately retirement seems to be popular right now so with major names leaving BSB, WSB and Moto GP things will never quite be the same. I’m still in shock that Casey Stoner has decided to head back home for a spot of fishing.
