Hi, due to unforeseen circumstances im selling my beloved 2009 yamaha wr250 r. i have had it for a little over a year now. I am the 3rd owner. the 1st was a retired fireman and the 2nd was a police officer. I purchased it with 1400mis, and it now has 4200 mis on it. I mainly have driven short distances back and forth to school. never taken it off road, but i can only imagine how it would handle. it handles like a dream on the street. top speed is probably around 95. has fmf pipe and exhaust system. also the tail lamps and the turn signals have been changed. I still have all the original parts that will be included in the sale. Overall it is in good condition. What you are watching is a highlight of Mike Hailwood's segment from the racing documentary Take it to the Limit - A Motorcycle Odyssey. The Yamaha - built by the extraordinary Kel Carruthers - that Hailwood is riding in the clip featured a unique frame with the camera housed within. The voice-over recording provided by Hailwood was done by taping a small mic to the bottom of his lip so he could dictate his guide to the 37.73 mile route.

Yamaha Confirms Leaning Multi-Wheeler for 2014 – Will the Tesseract Concept Finally Become Reality?

Yamaha confirmed it plans to introduce a new Leaning Multi-Wheeler (LMW) vehicle for 2014. An accompanying image of a test unit in camouflage reveals two closely-aligned front wheels beneath a broad fairing. The new model will be a three-wheeler similar to Piaggio‘s MP3 scooter instead of the four wheels like the Tesseract concept (pictured further below) first introduced at the 2007 Tokyo Motor Show.

Yamaha YZF-R1 Returns for 2013 with New Colors

Yamaha announced new 2013 colors and graphics for its flagship sportbike, the YZF-R1. Beside the three color options, the 2013 Yamaha R1 returns unchanged, after getting a new seven-level traction control system in 2012. The three color options for 2013 are Matte Gray, Rapid Red and Raven, and the Team Yamaha Blue and White.
