Yamaha venture royale description

1987 Yamaha Venture Royale with 7317 actual miles.  Professionally checked and serviced top to bottom, new tires after my purchase in 2013.  Excellent condition, garage kept, never dropped, hardly a scratch on it. Original upholstery, cruise control, tool kit, owner's manual, AM/FM radio, CB, cassette tape, and factory cover. Windshield has some crazing, needs a new CB radio control switch. Purchased with less than 6000 actual miles from a retired engineer who had stopped riding.  I am not riding enough to warrant keeping -- better owned by a younger person who wants a magnificent, smooth, vintage highway touring bike.  Will consider reasonable trade for a good late model VW convertible or pontoon boat. Ready for Christmas.

Josh Hayes To Wear RS Taichi In 2014

Mon, 13 Jan 2014

Monster Energy/Graves/Yamaha rider Josh Hayes will be sporting a new look this upcoming racing season. The three-time AMA Pro Racing SuperBike Champion will be protected by RS Taichi racing leathers and gloves while aboard his Yamaha YZF-R1 SuperBike. After a long-standing relationship with Teknic, his previous protective gear provider who ceased operation last year, Josh had an opportunity to go in a new direction.

R1 noise, bike porn and a quick lap

Tue, 24 Apr 2012

Trawling the internet for a sound clip of the Crossplane Crank Yamaha R1 on full chatter, I came across this: a few fast laps on board with New Zealand Superbike racer Tony Rees as he works the CABS Throttle Blipper on his 2011 R1. (Skip to 7:35 for the fast ones.) CABS is a system used by Superbike teams that makes use of the R1’s digitally controlled throttle. When you change up a gear, the bike blips in the perfect amount of revs to save time on track and make downshifts as quick and easy as clutch-less upshifts.
