Yamaha V Star description

This is a brand new non serviced bike.  1300cc Fully dressed mid sized touring bike which includes head unit for Navi and XM radio.  Machine is being sold by Honda Kawasaki Suzuki Yamaha of Orangeburg.

All sales are for machine only.  Purchaser is responsible for pickup or shipping arrangements.  Unit is assembled and displayed on showroom floor.

Winning bidder is required to put a $500 deposit on unit upon close of bid and pick unit up within one week, unless other suitable arrangements are made.

Winning bid DOES NOT include sales tax and registration.  (In SC, tax is 5% capped at $300 and title fee is $40.  If this is an out of state purchase, winning bidder's tax and title fees are to be paid by bidder upon registration of vehicle in their state).

Yamaha to Cut Motorcycle Production in 2009

With mounting inventories coupled with a drop in demand, Yamaha will be cutting its motorcycle production in Japan by 24 percent this year or to about 260,000 total units; one newspaper reported this would be a 40-year low for the manufacture. Yamaha plans to cut production for motorcycles and other products by 30 percent in the Americas, 20 percent in Europe but will maintain production levels in Asia where demand has not dropped off. The company is forecasting its group sales to fall 22 percent with an operating loss of about $300 million.

We know the sun always shines on the righteous and that’s exactly what happened last weekend at Donington Park. Yes its good honest people back in charge of the Derbyshire circuit so we saw summer sunshine for Friday’s free practice and also for WSB race two on Sunday. The circuit is better than ever with a new Esses section in place, and while the paddock remains unchanged, work has already started that will see gradual revamp over the year ahead.
