NZ Superbike Series Points Leader Is A Grandfather Of Three!
Tue, 14 Jan 2014Dennis Charlett is stamping his authority on the New Zealand Superbike championship. The 45 year-old father of five and grandfather of three (no, those aren’t typos) won the first three races of the season during the series opener in Christchurch, placing him firmly at the top of the points standings heading into round two at Levels Raceway, near Timaru. The championship favorite certainly got the wake-up call as Taupo’s Suzuki rider Scott Moir raced to a convincing win in Saturday’s Superbike race, while Charlett was forced to settle for fourth place.

Thu, 03 Apr 2014Yamaha Motor Corporation, U.S.A., is proud to announce that it has signed on as sponsor for the GEICO Motorcycle Superbike Shootout Presented By Yamaha, a three-event championship motorcycle road racing series that includes the Yamaha SoCal Nationals at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, CA on April 26-27; the Pacific Nationals at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma, CA on May 3-4; and the Mountain Nationals at Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, UT on May 24-25. The announcement was made by Bob Starr, General Manager of National Communications for Yamaha’s Motorsports Group. 2014 Yamaha MT-125 Announced for Europe
Wed, 07 May 2014Yamaha has added a new 125cc model to its suddenly burgeoning MT series of naked streetbikes in the European market. The 2014 Yamaha MT-125 joins the MT-07, the MT-09 and the MT-09 Street Rally, all of which were introduced in the last year. Unfortunately for the moment only the MT-09 has been announced for the U.S.
