1985 YAMAHA VMAX 1200 VMX1200 49,000 miles With R1 Front end And wide rear rim For Custom build.

Bike is not running. No battery, needs clutch master and or slave cylinder. I bought this bike 4 years ago not running to do a custom build with a 2003 Yamaha R1 front end and custom wide rim ( a modified R1 rear rim ) see pictures. The front end includes the R1 calipers, pads, rotors and axle.

The bike can be inspected at any time with prior arrangements.

Yamaha Motor Europe has recently posted up on YouTube a delightful video about their riders.  Their secret for being so good at what they do is that they totally immerse themselves in Yamaha by working at the Yamaha offices. Hilarity ensues. James Toseland works the mail room, while Colin Edwards does security, quoting Eric Cartman from a 10 year-old-South Park episode.  Jorge Lorenzo is washing windows and Valentino Rossi is working the front desk.

Yamaha has been rumored to be working on a 250cc sportbike for quite some time now. In fact, the other three members of the Japanese Big Four have launched new models in the small-displacement segment in recent years, but none of these new generation small-displacement bikes bear Yamaha‘s crossed tuning fork logo. That may change by 2014 however.
